The Aviation Maintenance Planning Specialist is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and coordinating aircraft maintenance tasks to ensure timely and efficient servicing of the aircraft while maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. Based in Miami, FL, and reporting to the Sr. Manager Aircraft Maintenance. This role involves collaborating with mechanics, engineers, and operations teams to optimize maintenance workflows, reduce aircraft downtime, and enhance safety and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, organization skills and experience in aircraft maintenance planning.

The Aviation Maintenance Planning Specialist is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and coordinating aircraft maintenance tasks to ensure timely and efficient servicing of the aircraft while maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. Based in Miami, FL, and reporting to the Sr. Manager Aircraft Maintenance. This role involves collaborating with mechanics, engineers, and operations teams to optimize maintenance workflows, reduce aircraft downtime, and enhance safety and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, organization skills and experience in aircraft maintenance planning.
- Maintain current database of aircraft hours and cycles in system accurate to ensure the efficiency of the DAE MPD.
- Develop the aircraft maintenance paperwork audits successfully and arrange ship on time to DAE headquarter (PTY).
- Establish effective ways of communications between our internal customers to ensure the smooth OTP (On Time Performance) of the entire DAE Fleet’s.
- Communicates with customers, vendors, maintenance operations managers and various other department managers to support customer needs as required.
- Monitor the right compliance of the DAE Maintenance Program in Miami Station.
- Act as a bright of MIA MX Team with Planning department and Tech Record department to ensure the smooth process.
- Maintain effective communications with MIA Aircraft Maintenance Leads to ensure the compliance of the DAE MPD and alert on time in case that additional resource be need it.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
- Able to work independently and under high-pressure environment.
- Able to use quantitative data in a labor scheduling model to assist management in resolving complex decision-making situations.
- Strong personal computer knowledge, including MS Office and scheduling software experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma required (associate degree desired).
- Two (2) years direct broad experience in aviation.
- Fluent English/Spanish (oral and written skills).
- Requires less than 25% of traveling for operational meeting in Panama.
- After- hours work may be required due to operational demands.
