Our department is growing and we are seeking the highly motivated individuals with a passion for excellence to join our team. We have an immediate career opportunity for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Support Specialist (entry level) at our Erlanger, KY hub (CVG airport). As a GSE Support Specialist, you will work closely with GSE Maintenance technicians, administrative staff and parts room to learn current processes and practices. Once proficient the GSE Support Specialist will work closely with the maintenance team in a number of capacities. The position is ideally suited for individuals wishing to pursue a career in heavy maintenance and having the desire and drive to learn
Schedule is 1st shift WED - SAT (4 days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety first focused approach to conducting work
- General equipment operation/movement of ground support equipment, floor scrubber, fork lift, etc. Specialists will become familiar various equipment
- General industrial cleaning duties in and around GSE (building) shop to include pressure washing GSE support equipment, retrieving and returning equipment to/from various locations on the DHL ramp and in Sort buildings.
- Support specialist will be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment.
- Washing and detail all vehicles for appearance that are utilized in the operation.
- Learn basic maintenance concepts/practices and assist mechanics in completing work
- Completing paperwork as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- General computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and a drug screen
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and 70 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop and climb
- Able to work in heights of 10’ or more depending on task
- Ability to work in all weather conditions; hot /cold /rain and snow
- Must have a driver’s license with good driving record
- Required to wear safety toe shoe/boots at all times
