From state-of-the-art venues to premier owned properties consisting of youth sports league and tournament operations, to sports media and marketing services. The enterprise has seen significant growth and has surpassed its projected goals year over year.

  • The venue located in Seal Beach, CA has expanded from 30,000 sq feet to 130,000 sq ft. within the last few years. In addition, to hosting some of the most recognized youth sports events, it will be the home for one of the nation’s most prestigious sports performance academies, beginning in Fall 2024.
  • Since its inception in 2021 The SoCal Cup (SCC), a premier boys volleyball league has been a driving force in the growth of the game in southern California and nationally.  SCC has contributed to the increase of boys' volleyball teams in the Southern California by 133% and by an estimated 43% in the USA. SCC’s 3 marquee (showcase) tournaments are recognized as the pre-eminent competitions for boys VB in the USA and have grown by 50% year over year and attract over 80,000 attendees per event.
  • With its success, the properties are set to expand into Nevada and Texas.
  • The media & marketing team is creating immersive digital and physical experiences for up-and-coming start-ups to global brands like, Slunks, SideOut and Got Milk?

With the rapid growth of the enterprise the Founder & Chief Executive Officer (John Gallegos) is looking for an experienced sports professional to lead the sports group to its next successful stage and scale the enterprise.

Scope and Responsibilities

Looking for an EVP level executive to oversee the AIM Sports Group. They will be responsible for leadership and management of AIM Sports Group - driving overall growth of the company and ensuring operational excellence of the individual business units.  They will oversee a team of senior executive across the enterprise to ensure the company operates efficiently and profitably, while scaling the business into new markets and tech innovations. Reporting to the Founder & CEO.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive partner relationships, including but not limited to providing insights and tools that contribute to respective business growth.
  • Ingeniousness in constructing solutions to relationship issues with partners.
  • Lead a team who provide strategic thinking, tactical planning and facilitation for their respective business lines across the enterprise.
  • Identify and fulfill new revenue opportunities for the enterprise.
  • Eagerness to lead, while being comfortable with business evolution (change) and enthusiastically embracing it (this is a successful youth sports enterprise with immense future potential).
  • Ability to partner with others and lead / organize expansion / growth initiatives to a successful conclusion.
  • Commitment to recruiting talent into the company and nurturing talent for their growth.
  • Key Selection Criteria

  • 15 years of experience managing and motivating teams with at least 10 years in sports management and / or marketing.
  • Have a deep understanding of the operations tied to a sports enterprise - venue, league and tournaments and sports marketing (media, activations and sales / partnerships).
  • Experience running a business profitability and ownership of the P&L.
  • Established track record for accurately scoping and maintaining budget and resources on multiple (simultaneous) complex initiatives.
  • Familiarity with youth sports and volleyball a plus.
