Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the CFO and ACFO, but also having significant interactions with the President, this position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial operation and reporting of the Accounting and Finance Department.

POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 4 year college degree with a background in Accounting/Business/Finance required
  • Masters in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.
  • Spoken and written English required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE :

  • 6 years of accounting/finance work, with at least 2 years of hospital experience required.
  • 4 years of Hospital and Provider based clinic experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and have basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Review current processes and work with team members (Accounting and Hospital-wide) to come up with efficiencies to increase productivity by reducing report turn-around time and errors caused by excessively manual data entry and manipulation.
  • Assist in the development of Annual Budget.
  • Oversee and assist in the Month-End process and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee and assist in the creation of new service line Pro Forma reports.
  • Help ensure that information leaving the department goes out timely and in the right format, but more importantly that data is correct and has been validated.
  • Interact with Physicians to review their RVUs and Clinic financials with the support of the “RMF” team.
  • Other duties as assigned by CFO and ACFO.

B. Working Conditions : The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
