EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
Position Summary
Our Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, and implementing efficient cleaning procedures. The Executive Housekeeper will also be responsible for inventory management, budget control, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in housekeeping management, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Essential Functions
- Maintain all hotel standards while remaining within agreed budgets on guest and cleaning supplies, salaries, and any costs, which apply to the department.
- Meet with all relevant department heads and managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department
- Monitor closely the condition and maintenance of all accommodation and public areas.
- Order/purchase all related cleaning chemicals and materials.
- Responsible for stock levels, stock taking, and control of linen room and uniform departments.
- Hire, train, motivate department personnel. Conduct all performance appraisals.
- Inspect guest’s rooms after cleaning
- Train staff in appropriate use of supplies, cleaning agents, and equipment.
- Conduct linen inventory.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guests special needs.
- Administer guest lost and found program.
- Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints concerning the Housekeeping Department.
- Communicate room status changes to Front Desk.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, these contained in the employee handbook.
Education and Experience
- Experience in training, supervising, and mentoring multicultural and multilingual staff.
- Previous supervisory housekeeping experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
