Room Inspector/Room Attendant
Salary Range $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Position Summary
Our Room Inspector/Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in guest rooms. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of vacant and occupied rooms after they have been cleaned by our room attendants, checking for any issues or deficiencies, and ensuring that all amenities are in place and functioning properly. The inspector also provides feedback to housekeeping staff and reports any maintenance needs to the appropriate departments. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality are essential for this position to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for all guests.
Essential Job Functions
- Inspect all guest rooms and suites after cleaning, correcting minor issues as needed, and reviewing any problems with the room/suite attendant. Send the attendant back to address major or recurring issues and recheck when ready.
- Accommodate special requests from guests.
- Complete and file inspection forms for inspected rooms and suites.
- Perform opening duties by assigning tasks to room/suite attendants and prioritizing their workload.
- Perform closing duties, ensuring all carts are cleaned and stocked, and collecting and verifying room/suite attendant assignments.
- Clean rooms and suites as needed.
- Notify the executive housekeeper of any problems with rooms or suites.
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those in the employee handbook.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as room/suite attendant.
- Good communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
