Salary Range: $50,000- $75,000 Based on Experience
Job Summary:
The LVN Resident Services Director is responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of residents in the assisted living facility. This role ensures high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and coordination of resident services. The Resident Services Director leads the care team, supervises staff, and works closely with residents, families, and healthcare providers to promote a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:Resident Care & Health Oversight:
• Assess and monitor residents’ health conditions, ensuring individualized care plans meet their needs.
• Coordinate and oversee medication management, including administration, documentation, and compliance.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and determine appropriate follow-up care.
Staff Supervision & Training:
• Hire, train, and supervise care staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing coaching and education on resident care, infection control, and emergency response.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address staff concerns or performance issues as needed.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to assisted living and resident care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of resident assessments, medication administration, and care plans.
• Prepare for and participate in inspections, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
Resident & Family Engagement:
• Conduct resident assessments upon move-in and as needed to determine level of care.
• Communicate with families regarding residents’ health, care plans, and any changes in condition.
• Support residents in maintaining independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Active LVN license in Texas.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, or a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state regulations governing assisted living communities.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with residents, families, and staff.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Resident Services Director or similar leadership role.
• Training in dementia care or experience with memory care programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
