Purpose of Classification
The Laborer/Sealcoater performs manual labor related to asphalt maintenance and construction. This is an entry-level, unskilled position that provides essential support on job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare job sites by cleaning and setting up materials.
- Apply crack filling materials to asphalt and concrete surfaces.
- Perform sealcoating on streets, driveways, parking lots.
- Patch and repair asphalt.
- Place and retrieve barricades and caution signage.
- Drive company trucks (if licensed) and assist with unloading materials and equipment.
- Provide general labor support.
- Install temporary fencing and job site safety signage.
- Clean up job sites, trucks, and tools after work is complete.
- Assist in loading equipment and tools for daily projects.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding, routine tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Experience: No prior experience required — on-the-job training provided.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license upon employment to operate company vehicles. If unlicensed, driving any company vehicle is strictly prohibited.
