TRAVELING JOBSITE SUPERINTENDENT

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overall day to day management of the jobsite which includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Set up of the jobsite; trailer, utilities, supplies, dumpsters, chemical toilets, required postings, paperwork, binders and hard copy of plans. This is to be accomplished with the assistance of the Project Manager and Office Administrator.
- Initiate and maintain a positive relationship with all local authorities; Inspectors, permitting office, reviewers etc.
- Prepare Daily reports
- Do daily safety walk of jobsite; addressing any concerns immediately
- Ensure all personal are wearing proper safety equipment; hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.
- Ensure anyone using DI rented equipment is properly certified
- Maintain a clean job site
- Assist Project Manager in preparing weekly reports to client
- Be the expert regarding plans and specifications for your project. The Jobsite Superintendent should know the plans and specs better than anyone else on the project.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing RFI’s
- Assist the Project Manager in reviewing submittals
- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain the project schedule
- Meet with subcontractors prior to beginning work to review their scope of work and the project schedule
- Ensure that subcontractors’ work is completed per plans, specifications and submittals.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings throughout the project
- Conduct Daily and Weekly meetings at the jobsite with subcontractors
- Do a two week look ahead every week. Ensure that subcontractor will be onsite per schedule, SOW and schedule have been reviewed with subcontractor.
- Work with Office Administrator to ensure all proper paperwork is in place prior to subcontractor arriving onsite
- Work with Jobsite Administrator/Asst. Superintendent to ensure all deliveries are checked for accuracy and damages
- Work with Jobsite Administrator/Asst. Superintendent to ensure the storage units contents are logged and maintained
- Work with the Office Administrator and Project Manager to review invoices for accuracy; dumpster, equipment rental, chemical toilets etc.
- If requested, assist the Project Manager with the review of subcontractors pay applications for accuracy
- Prepare and complete Punch List items
- Assist the Office Administrator in preparing close out documents for the owner
- Assist the Jobsite Administrator in the return/pick up of all rented items near completion of the project
