DIA Packaging Wooden Crate and Packaging Sales Representative Job Description:
DIA Packaging is seeking a Wooden Crate and Packaging Sales representative to support our Marengo IL facility.
The DIA Packaging Wooden Crate and Packaging Sales representative is responsible for all functions to promote sales of products to end users, distributors and associations within the Chicagoland area, parts of Wisconsin and parts of Indiana. The DIA wooden crate and packaging sales representative will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
· Develop a deep understanding of our wooden crate and skid products, materials, and manufacturing process as well as packaging services to effectively communicate their value to propositions to clients.
· Possess the unique ability to make 25-50 calls per day in order to generate leads. Understands how to navigate a phone call with a potential client and gain necessary info for primary goal of getting an appointment and/or moving into quoting stage.
· Work with production design engineer to prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on information gathering from the client.
· Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients, understand their unique requirements, and provide tailored solutions to meet their wood crating and/or packaging needs.
· Make physical sales calls to new clients, existing clients, distributors and associations to promote product offerings.
· Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly plan to target specific accounts and product lines.
· Distribute and communicate weekly, monthly and quarterly plan to the Sales Manager.
· Monitor existing customers to promote new product offerings, check inventories, conduct sales meetings, and assist with problem resolutions.
· Review and monitor distributor performance of orders received, shipments, and product quantities.
· Perform product demonstrations and instructions to new perspective clients.
· Represent the company and participate in local industry events and local trade shows.
· Stay informed on new products and competitors’ activities.
· Monitor existing and new accounts and follow up on new products.
· Additional duties as assigned by management.
· Prepare annual sales forecast analysis on existing and potential new accounts.
· Comply with company policies and applicable laws.
REQUIRED EDCUATION EXPERIENCE:
· College degree in business or related field, or professional experience in lieu of education.
· Five (5) years sales experience in any industry with preference in the packaging/corrugated industry.
· Valid driver’s license.

· Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and commissions.

· Self-Starter – Ability to locate and close new client opportunities, Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
· Full-time position with 15% to 65% local travel.
