Job Title: Dishwasher/Prep Cook
Department: Culinary
Reports To: Sous Chef
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY Preparation of food items and support for line cooks in their production needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for all washing of dishes, pots and pans, glasses etc…Organizing and cleaning of all kitchen areas and equipment throughout the club.
- Ensuring the availability of clean dishes, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, glasses etc.
- Preparing kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
- Unloading and storing deliveries food deliveries.
- Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled.
- Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
- Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
- Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
- Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
- Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick-up food and supplies.
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.

- Break all the boxes that are in the establishment.
- Sweep the floors of the kitchen and all the refrigerators.
- Place all the floor plastics on a car.
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by any of the chef as needed
- Follows the posted daily dish cleaning, opening and closing duties.
Dishwasher Requirements:
- Minimal work experience.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 40 pounds.
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
- Responsible for Organizing and cleaning of all kitchen areas and equipment throughout the club.
Responsible to cover all shifts in culinary operation while the club is open am and pm seven days a week 365 days a year.
Maintain daily preparation par lists.
Ensure daily product is prepped and labeled and proper rotation is adhered too.
Assist and communicate all needs and requirements to Sous Chefs.
Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years experience in kitchen or stewarding operation in hotel, restaurant or club.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Salary : $22 - $23
