Pet Groomer

Diablo Dog is a pet company that sells pet supplies and provides dog training, walking, and grooming and bathing services in Martinez California. We're looking for someone who is experienced and confident in safely, efficiently, and successfully provide our clients dogs with baths and breed specific cuts as needed. We're hoping to hire someone who can work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day a week (We are flexible on the specific days).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic grooming and bathing techniques on clients
• Bathe and blow dry clients using the right equipment
• Provide trimming and shaping to ensure clients look their best
• Perform breed specific cuts as requested by clients
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and labeled properly
• Perform duties on back-up team members as needed
• Handle dogs of all sizes
• Keep grooming and bathing areas clean
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, including potential clients
• Adhere to company standards and policies
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Other tasks may involve:

• Getting video and photos of clients dogs and possibly posting them to social media
• Providing rides to grooming clients as needed during shift
• Providing grooming demonstrations for special events
• Interacting with prospective clients during special events
• Writing blogs for our website on grooming or bathing related topics as promotion for our company's grooming service

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of grooming experience in a professional environment (vet or groomer) is required.
• Experience with customer service in a professional environment (vet or groomer) is preferred, but not required.
• We will not be able to train candidates to provide haircuts, so only experienced and confident candidates should apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
