Solar System Designer / Salesperson - PV/Photovoltaic/Thermal/Battery

Diablo Solar Services is one of the Bay Area’s oldest, most experienced and most respected solar installation companies. Founded in 1984, Diablo Solar has installed over 26,000 solar systems over the last 41 years.

Diablo Solar is looking for an experienced Solar System Designer / Solar Salesperson . This is a sales position focusing on in-home residential sales of multiple solar products, including:

• Photovoltaic (PV) Solar-Electric Systems
• Swimming Pool Solar Heating Systems
• Battery Back-Up / Energy Storage Systems

This is a 100% Commission Only position. After an initial training and probation period, there is no draw or base salary provided. Recent full-time Diablo Solar System Designers averaged $125,000 to $225,000 in annual compensation. A new, first year System Designer at Diablo Solar is expected to earn at least $75,000 in total sales commissions, minimum.

Diablo Solar’s territory covers most of the East and North San Francisco Bay Area, including all of Contra Costa, Alameda, Napa, Marin and Sonoma counties, as well as most of Solano county. Diablo Solar’s offices are located in Martinez and Petaluma, CA.

Diablo Solar System Designers typically have very flexible schedules and work a Tuesday through Saturday appointment schedule with generous pre-qualified leads provided by Diablo. Evening and Saturday appointments are typical. However, schedules are flexible and Diablo Solar Appointment Setters will work with your personal schedule.

Candidates will need to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance on your personal vehicle. Diablo Solar System Designers will also need to obtain a valid California Contractors State License Board Home Improvement Sales License.

Experience in sales is required and solar experience is preferred. Candidates must possess strong math and science skills, as well as strong computer proficiency.

No relocation assistance will be provided.
