What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Security Officer SME position at Diaconia LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security support during all phases of acquisition programs.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and related activities.
- Conduct security site surveys, including foreign travel.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, Arms Export Control Act, and Defense Trade Security Initiatives.
- Support program protection management, information security, and classified material handling.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of security-related documentation, including DD Forms 254 and Security Classification Guides (SCDG).
- Provide oversight for system, technology, and program protection planning.
- Maintain compliance with DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM security policies.
Program Security Officer (PSO) Responsibilities:
- Manage SAP and SCI security program policies and procedures.
- Advise on program access requests (PAR) and security education initiatives.
- Monitor and report security incidents and violations.
- Develop cost-effective security programs and provide briefings and technical analyses.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
o Master’s degree and 12 years of experience (5 years in DoD), OR
o Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience (5 years in DoD), OR
o 20 years of directly related experience (8 years in DoD).
- Specialized Knowledge:
o In-depth understanding of SAP and SCI security programs.
o Experience handling highly sensitive classified material.
o Familiarity with security policies and procedures across all security disciplines.
This role demands a subject matter expert (SME) with advanced knowledge in security management, acquisition security, and program protection planning to ensure the integrity and protection of critical defense programs.
Minimum Certification Requirement:
- Level 1 Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SPeD) within two (2) years of hire.
- May require DISS and SIPRNeT accounts.
- Completion of specified Defense Acquisition University and AFLCMC/IP training courses.
