Job Summary:
The Event Sales & Membership Coordinator is responsible for generating revenue by actively promoting and selling our event spaces and services. This role will also support membership growth and retention. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for pickleball and a proven track record in sales and event coordination.
Responsibilities:
* Event Sales & Management:
* Actively pursue and secure event bookings for various occasions, including corporate events, birthday parties, team-building activities, charity tournaments, and private gatherings.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve event revenue targets.
* Create and present compelling event proposals and contracts.
* Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring seamless and successful events.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and community organizations.
* Manage event logistics, including court reservations, catering coordination, and equipment setup.
* Gather and analyze event feedback to improve future offerings.
* Membership Growth & Retention:
* Assist with membership sales and onboarding processes.
* Promote membership benefits and programs to potential and existing members.
* Contribute to membership retention efforts through proactive communication and engagement.
* Help maintain accurate membership records.
* Answer member questions, and help solve member issues.
* Marketing & Promotion:
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns for events and memberships.
* Utilize social media and other digital platforms to promote events and engage with potential clients.
* Network with local businesses and community organizations to generate leads.
* Administrative Tasks:
* Maintain accurate records of event bookings, sales activities, and client communications.
* Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
* Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in sales, event planning, or hospitality, preferably in a sports or recreational setting.
* Strong sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close deals.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Passion for pickleball and a strong understanding of the sport (preferred).
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
