Extrusion Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning and setup of extruder and ancillary equipment.
- Starts feeders to feed components into extruder.
- Observes pressure, temperature, and other meters on panel to verify specified operation of extruder, pelletizer, and related equipment.
- Observes extruder and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and makes repairs, such as tightening pipes and fittings.
- Maintains log of meter and gauge readings and records data such as melt flow rates and quantity of feedstock fed.
- Enters inventory into software using computer system and barcode scanners
- Performs other duties as assigned
- All employees will abide by their site EH&S requirements endorsed by the local management, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under it’s EH&S. Employee will work toward achieving established objective and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with ISO9001:2015. Employees should reports, and if necessary stop any activity that does not conform to EH&S policy or may injure him /her.
Education
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- All Minimum of five (5) years of experience in supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying disciplined problem solving methods
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, specifically ISO9001:2015
- Demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Good oral and written communication skills
