About the role As a Material Quality Lead you will play a pivotal role in our talented team based at Shieldhall by working closely with Diageo suppliers to optimise material quality performance across our brands to ensure food safety regulations are met, Brand integrity is upheld, and line performance isn’t impacted by material quality. You will lead and drive the quality agenda of the site by working closely with internal stakeholders such as procurement and operations while also managing and nurturing external relationships with suppliers. Leading the investigation of supplier material quality incidents that impact the site performance when investigating issues, ensuring robust root cause problem solving processes are used to resolve issues. Reporting and escalating any supplier incidents ensuring management are aware of significant internal incidents. You’ll provide support and training to site employees on material issues, driving improvement in their understanding of packaging materials and the interaction between materials, equipment and operating procedures on packaging lines. You’ll be expected to prepare and publish weekly & monthly reports and support the continuous improvement plans relating to supplier quality, supplier improvement and quality process/system improvement. About you For this role it would be beneficial if you have experience working in FMCG environment, but this is not essential. The successful candidate will have demonstratable knowledge of Quality and Food Safety legislation and standards. Full UK Drivers License is required for this role.
