About the Role As a key member of the Malt Distilling maintenance team you will lead the implementation of the asset care strategy. You will support multi-disciplinary teams to problem solve and deliver improvement projects across our distilleries, maltings and other key infrastructure and help the sites drive their continuous improvement objectives. This is a critical role in the success of the Scotch Category and maintaining our licence to operate in these areas. You will work with teams to deliver engineering functional expertise across the area/site and support the operational team to resolve complex equipment problems. You will be proactive in leading performance analysis to drive improvement and address any adverse performance trends. You’ll lead and advocate good governance around internal and external compliance including the delivery of outstanding performance in all aspects of Health & Safety, Quality, Environment, Asset Care, Delivery, Productivity, Cost and Morale to always maintain regulatory standards taking responsibility for identifying and implementing cost effective solutions to optimise use of the repair and maintenance budget. Other key responsibilitiies will include: Leading on performance analysis that drives improvement actions to address adverse performance trends Resolving systemic problems which include breakdowns, fault finding and escalations Leading the action focused team & contractors through collaborative communication with clear vision on medium term objectives aligned with Diageo standards.
