Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately assess images and provide preliminary findings.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnostic radiology processes.
- Maintain accurate records of patient examinations and ensure compliance with health regulations and protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology practices, particularly in Ob/Gyn imaging, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- A solid understanding of anatomy knowledge related to ultrasound imaging is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to sonography practices is required.
