What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Delivery and Installation Technician position at Diakon Logistics?
Diakon Logistics is a leading Home Delivery & Installation Service provider. We are expanding our business in the MT area, and are looking for enterprising and motivated Independent Contract Carriers for delivery and set up of Dishwashers, Over the Range Microwave Ovens, and Wall Ovens in our customer's homes.
This is a great opportunity with steady work and no slow season. Work is available 6 days a week and pay is competitive.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Construction Contractor Registration
- Own or lease a late model 26' box truck (we can assist in acquiring)
- Workers' Compensation insurance, covering you and your employees
- Commercial General Liability (CGL) and Auto Liability (AL) insurance, with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate
- Motor Truck cargo coverage for the items you haul
- Must incorporate and obtain DOT number with interstate authority
- Experience installing Dishwashers, Over the Range Microwave Ovens, Wall Ovens
- Provide a two-man delivery team
- If you have more than 1 helper, that is great too!
- Lead person needs to read, understand and speak English
- Pass background, drug and physical checks
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record -2 years verifiable commercial driving experience, but No CDL required.
