What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Manager - Senior Community Center position at Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries?
Diakon is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing. General Responsibilities :
- Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the daily operations of the assigned senior community center.
- Works with Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers to ensure MOW delivery policies and procedures are followed.
- Plans, organizes and implements daily activity programs according to established policies and procedures.
- Oversees preparation of food kitchen for operational readiness according to established safety and sanitation procedures.
Education / Training : A high school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Human Services, Communications Management, Social Welfare, Public Relations or a related field preferred. Experience : A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions normally required. Valid driver's license. ADA : Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
