Provides services in a school-based setting Diakon Family Life Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral health services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, New Bloomfield, Lewisburg, Montoursville and Williamsport as well as within several public-school buildings. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addictions counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities :
- Responsible for providing clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and groups in a co-occurring setting.
- Develops individualized treatment plan for each client per agency procedures.
- Provides a wide range of therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families and groups based on individualized assessment and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
- Completes comprehensive psychological assessments on each client seen in keeping with professional standards of practice as well as DPW, DOH and other third party requirements.
Education / Training : A graduate degree from a college or university in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum; LMFT, LPC or LCSW preferred. Experience : Post-Master's supervised clinical experience preferred. ADA : Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills
