Grants and Donor Development Manager – Be a Catalyst for Change
Location: Statesville, NC | Full-time | Exempt | $50,000-$65,000 DOE

As our Grants and Donor Development Manager, you won’t just fundraise—you’ll drive impact, secure funding, and build meaningful partnerships to support housing, therapy, job training, and community reintegration. You’ll be the force that keeps our life-changing programs running and growing.

What You’ll Do
- Secure Funding & Drive Growth – Research, write, and manage grants (foundation, state, federal, corporate) to sustain and expand our programs.
- Lead Fundraising & Development Efforts – Cultivate donors, manage corporate sponsorships, and spearhead creative fundraising strategies, including major gifts and planned giving.
- Be the Face of Diakonos – Represent the organization at churches, business events, and community meetings—public speaking skills are a must!
- Strengthen Partnerships – Build relationships with housing providers, mental health services, job training programs, and other community partners to support client transitions.
- Engage Stakeholders – Work with the Board of Directors, Fundraising Committee, and volunteers to drive financial sustainability and awareness.
- Manage & Innovate – No direct reports at the start, but the opportunity to grow the program and team as you succeed.
What You Bring
✔ Bachelor’s degree in human services, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
✔ 3 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, marketing, or related work (preferred)
✔ Self-starter with a passion for leadership and driving change
✔ Strong public speaking & relationship-building skills – Comfortable engaging with diverse groups
✔ Excellent written communication & organizational skills
✔ Intermediate to advanced computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media management
✔ Understanding of non-profit operations & fundraising best practices
✔ Valid NC driver’s license & clean driving record – Travel required for meetings & events
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience)
