What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Dial Equities Inc?
Position Purpose
Maintains the physical integrity of the community; is an integral part of the maintenance team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and performs minor and routine maintenance and repair such as : electrical, plumbing, AC, heating, appliances, water irrigation, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, carpet, tile, flooring, roofing, gutter, lighting, fireplaces, ceiling fans, doors, cabinets, windows, locks, security systems, etc.
- Handles resident complaints in a timely manner.
- Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services, responsible at times to complete a make-ready, ensuring that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to market ready status in a timely manner.
- Carries the on-call pager or uses personal cell phone as needed / assigned, taking residents' calls through the answering service to respond in a timely manner to emergency maintenance calls.
- Assists in maintaining grounds and exterior building issues including trash removal, lighting issues, pool assistance, painting, power washing, snow removal, etc.
- Assists in maintaining the interior of the building including painting, cleaning, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
