Position Overview

The Regional Maintenance Manager works with the Director, Facilities & Environmental Services and Regional Operations Director to support assigned communities within region. This position ensures excellence in regional communities in all areas of maintenance and property condition, acts as point of contact for maintenance procedures, and assists with issues within the communities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure communities within the region are in excellent condition and operating efficiently, according to Dial maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate, support, and provide resources for community Maintenance Directors in all areas of facility maintenance, including housekeeping.
  • Act as a point of contact for all property and maintenance procedures and concerns in assigned communities, assisting and advising with repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Collaborate and/or coordinate regular Maintenance Director meetings for trainings and mentoring as needed and requested by the Director, Facilities & Environmental Services.
  • Monitor community compliance with Dial building management standards/systems through quarterly quality visits, and follow up with the community to review and monitor completion of corrective action plans.
  • Maintain awareness of safety issues and advise communities on proper procedures.
  • Provide training and evaluation of community Maintenance Directors, working closely with Executive Directors to provide oversight and assessment input.
  • Provide pre-inspections for United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) inspections.
  • Work with community Executive Directors and Maintenance Directors to ensure the maintenance department is operating efficiently and within budget guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate knowledge of or willingness and ability to learn the computer programs used in this facility
  • Intermediate knowledge of TELS building management platform
  • HIPAA requirements

  • On-call schedule
  • Occasional weekend work if needed to ensure coverage
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs., using proper body mechanics and/or available equipment or staff assistance
  • Travel is required

Job Requirements

    • A minimum of 8 years equivalent level experience in managing several facilities
    • Supervisory experience required
    • Ability to provide strong leadership in facility management practices and techniques
    • Travel is expected to communities within region
