Cannabis-Infused Product Lab Technician - Hash Washer

The lab technician is a direct report to the Production Manager and Director of Operations. The primary role for this position will be to assist the refinement and extraction team at Dialed In Gummies. This includes but is not limited to all pre-extraction duties all the way to helping post extraction duties, if needed. Your job is to operate the freeze dryer machines and processing equipment daily, requiring strict adherence to all safety and compliance procedures, including state and local laws and safety standards. They will be responsible for the safe day to day operation of the hash washing process with a focus on following procedures and continually improving the overall efficiency of the process. Fulfilling the responsibilities and duties of a Hash Washer requires research skills, attention to detail, and a no ego attitude.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

• Must follow all applicable policies, procedures, and company guidelines. This includes the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Set up, prepare, and maintain all lab equipment/machinery
• Receive and inventory new lab supplies as needed
• Conduct processes including too but not limited to: Open the building and de-arm alarm upon arrival, turn on the joules and ovens in the kitchen, set up all washer’s and ice bins, purchase and retrieve ice, wash hash, tag jars and log all final batches
• Strictly adhere to processing SOP’s to ensure proper operations & clean outs between lots/batches
• Ensure the successful operation of all equipment by: Following operation SOP’s, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and reporting damaged equipment to direct superior
• Daily operational and safety checks within the hash washing room
• Work as part of a team to meet production schedules
• Ability to Jar and weigh extracted hash
• Record data manually and digitally to communicate batch data with direct superior and other departments
• Work with the Fulfillment Department to ensure enough trim to complete batches
• Good communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management
• Communicate with Hash Press to see how the hash is pressing post wash
• Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized work area at the end of the assigned shift
• Contribute toward a desirable workplace culture
• Flexibility and ability to shift work schedule according to production needs
• Comply with all MED, and METRC requirements
• Ability to wear PPE for the duration of shift (masked at all times when in the lab)
• This role operates in a manufacturing environment, routinely using heavy equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to odors or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, and ear protection may be required. The temperature may be slightly lower than in other areas of the building.

Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• IL Resident 21yrs old
• Current and Valid MED Badge
• Ability to stand for 8 hrs per day
• Ability to lift 50lbs, multiple times a day
• 1 Year Cannabis hash washing experience (preferred, but not required)
• College Diploma (preferred)
• Consent to and successfully pass a background check
