We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to manage daily administrative tasks at our Dialysis Center of Lincoln, Northwest facility. Your duties will include managing new patient registration and supporting our patients and staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask, and familiar with medical terminology. As an Administrative Assistant, you should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, provide information to callers or connect callers to appropriate people
- Receive and review all incoming mail and distributes to correct individual; send mail and coordinate interoffice mail in a timely manner.
- Obtain requested records from other medical facilities for staff; fax requested reports to other medical facilities for staff; maintain medical record scanning process in a timely manner; print out requested reports for nursing staff as needed.
- Greet patients and visitors; call for patient rides and assist with patient transportation issues.
- Assist facility leadership team with clerical duties
- Ensure stock levels of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a healthcare Administrative Assistant or similar role
- Familiarity with healthcare industry and medical terminologies
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office, databases and EHR systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma; certification in medical administration is a plus
