Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Support:
- Assist in preparing and setting up dialysis equipment and supplies.
- Provide direct patient care and support during dialysis sessions, including monitoring vital signs and patient comfort.
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as positioning, ambulation, and personal care.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dialysis machines and equipment according to established protocols.
- Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the appropriate staff members.
- Data Recording and Documentation:
- Accurately record and maintain patient information, treatment data, and vital signs.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care and equipment.
- Infection Control:
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment in the dialysis unit.
- Adhere to universal precautions and sterilization procedures.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, treatment options, and self-care.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; have a Certificate as a Hemodialysis Technician.
- 2 years of previous experience as a dialysis technician.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Ability to travel between hospitals throughout the Portland / Vancouver area.
- Ability to work long days when needed.
