The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and timely shipping and receiving. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing workflow processes to meet productivity goals. Supervision and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and training
- Ensure staff adhere to safety protocols and company policies
Inventory Management
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast and plan inventory needs
Operational Efficiency
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve productivity and minimize delays
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse processes
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust operations to meet company goals
Shipping and Receiving
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues
- Verify and document all shipments for accuracy and compliance with regulations
Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Ensure team attends regular safety training and compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Address and resolve safety concerns promptly
Communication and Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for warehouse operations, resolving issues as they arise
- Coordinate with management and other departments to align warehouse activities with overall business objectives
- Provide regular updates on warehouse operations, challenges, and improvements
Other duties as assigned:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
- Five plus years’ experience, or equivalent related experience. Prior shipping and distribution experience preferred with international shipping experience a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail oriented
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Self-starter and able to work independently or in a team atmosphere
- Intermediate ability with ERP Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and email
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
