Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
Duties
- Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate components using various tools, including milling machines, lathes, and hand tools.
- Assemble parts accurately while adhering to quality standards and production schedules.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during operation.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling within the production area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with tooling processes and the operation of various machinery, including milling machines and lathes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred but not mandatory.
