TOOL ROOM ATTENDANT

Shift & Schedule: Day, Monday-Thursday 5:00a-3:30p
Responsibilities:
- Issue, receive, and track tools, dies, and equipment to production personnel.
- Maintain accurate tool inventory using manual logs or inventory software.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure tools are in safe and good working condition.
- Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on tools or coordinate with maintenance for more complex fixes.
- Order tools and supplies as needed, based on inventory levels and usage patterns.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the tool room.
- Label, tag, and store tools and equipment in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Assist in the calibration and certification processes for measurement tools as needed.
- Communicate tool needs and shortages to supervisors and purchasing personnel.
- Provide support during audits or safety inspections involving tooling and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and manufacturing protocols.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to use a computer for inventory tracking and communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a tool crib/tool room or similar environment.
- Experience in trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CMMS or inventory management systems.
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
- Standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
