Job Summary
The sales associate is responsible for a variety of activities and behaviors, specifically outlined in the Eight
Steps of Successful Selling structure. Working as part of a team, individual performance is directly linked to the store’s performance outcomes. A sales associate is expected to demonstrate the willingness and desire to improve in the achievement of goals and the advancement of knowledge and selling skills. He/she provides superior customer service and maintains a client follow-up system, whereby; telephone, email, text, or handwritten notes are required.
Typical week is 5 day work week with Saturdays required. 6 day work week in December.

Schedule
Flexible. The store is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 5:30pm and Saturday from 10:00 – 4:00pm
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Social Media Platforms
- Achieve monthly sales goals and other Key Performance Indicators as determined by Diamond Center Jewelers.
- Complete training as required by Diamond Center Jewelers.
- Assist sales team in obtaining objectives as defined by Diamond Center Jewelers.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with a diverse clientele and members of the team (in person and via text, email, or phone).
- Deliver exceptional customer service to include successful execution of Eight Selling Behaviors, timely follow-up with customers, quick resolution of customer concerns, and thorough documentation.
- Engage in special event preparation or other promotional activities.
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures and jewelry inventory procedures as required.
- Attend sales meetings or other events as required.
- Adhere to all security policies and procedures.
- Efficiently and effectively operate Point of Sale equipment and other industry specific tools.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and neat store environment.

Education
High School or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Jewelry or other luxury sales experience or social media marketing
Physical Demands
Can stand for extended periods of time. Have visual acuity to read computer screen and operate other industry specific tools and equipment such as jeweler’s loupe or microscope. Have dexterity to operate Point of Sale equipment and other fine industry instruments like watch tools. Able to bend and reach throughout shift. Able to lift or carry items weighing less than 25 lbs.
