Diamond Chemical, a leading National manufacturer of Warewashing, Laundry, Housekeeping, Cleaning & Sanitation Products, is hiring a Business Development Manager in the South East for our STARCO Group.
Regional Sales Manager
Candidate will be responsible for new sales to Foodservice Distributors, Jan San & Paper Distributors as well as Building Service Cleaning Companies (BSC). The ideal candidate is an aggressive hunter and self-starter that loves to compete. Must be well-organized and possess strong sales and negotiating skills to win business. Our goal is to expand our market presence. Must possess the ability to develop strong customer relationships to solidify the business.
Chemical Sales experience is a plus but NOT required.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and have a complete knowledge of the Starco product line and literature as well as other selling aides.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Internet and Order processing software.
- Prospect new business in area of responsibility making 8-10 calls a day.
- Not afraid of making cold calls.
- Maintain a strong prospect list and have a 30-60-90-day pipeline of new business targets.
- Manage your schedule and maximize your efficiency to allow for unexpected delays such as traffic/parking/travel.
- Develop strategic work plans for completing sales calls with new and existing customers.
- Prepare and make sales presentations alone or as part of a team
- Open New Accounts achieving a weekly/month target.
- Increase sales volume and product lines in existing accounts.
- Train distributor team on full product line implementation.
- Assist with collection issues within your assigned accounts and accounts you’ve sold.
- File weekly call and expense reports.
- Work with and support Distributor partners to generate leads and sell business.
- Travel and visit with decision makers of key accounts and solidify the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and or equivalent combination of military training and job experience.
- Excellent Sales and organizational skills.
- Ability to act quickly, accurately and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal. Spanish speaking a plus.
