Job Overview:
The Safety and Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, quality control procedures, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role will work closely with production and leadership teams to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage safety programs and policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, training sessions, and quality assessments.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality controls.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and quality issues, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, safety trends, and best practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in safety and quality processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in safety management and/or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and industry-related quality standards.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
