General:
The Software Implentation Specialist assists correctional facilities in transitions from their current MAR system to the Sapphire eMAR system and coordinates their full-chart transitions to the Sapphire EHR
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepares facilities for the transition to Sapphire eMAR, ensuring all aspects of the transition are in place. Including pre-set up meetings, assuring their facility has the required computer equipment, the data is imported, the formulary is entered correctly, the physicians are updated, the facility staff has completed the training modules and any other aspect of the set up.
2. Manages EHR projects, transitioning customers either from paper or from another electronic health record. This includes weekly calls to discuss workflow and form creation, creation of new user roles and task assignments and the training, either web or onsite, of new EHR users, works with the development team coordinating interfaces.
3. Travels to facilities for the transition to Sapphire eMAR. Teaches the facility staff how to use the software, using independent judgment and discretion, ensures that customers can conduct all medical encounters and administrations without disruption to the general operation of the facility.
4. Demonstrates either via web-demo or in person how the Sapphire software works, effectively explaining the complexities of the system.
5. Travels to trade shows, special meetings, and conferences to demonstrate Sapphire to potential new clients and/or existing Diamond clients who currently do not use Sapphire.
6. Assists clients with any Sapphire customer service needs, interacting in a professional and effective manner.
7. Completes all required travel paperwork, including but not limited to expense reports, mileage sheets, and vehicle maintenance logs.
8. Works with the software development team to trouble shoot issues, test new features, improve existing features and input special customer requests.
9. Ensures clear, concise, accurate and open communication of product and/or service information.
10. Projects a professional image as demonstrated in appropriate manner of speech and neat clean physical appearance.
11. Completes other duties as assigned.
12. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and company information.
13. Promotes company and policies in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
Education:
Post-Secondary training in teaching, marketing, or computer operations preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience/Knowledge:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
* High degree of accuracy for detail work
* Strong computer operational knowledge
* Ability to work under stress to accomplish deadlines
* Ability to organize one’s own work.
* Reliability and honesty
Physical Requirements:
In an 8-hour day the employee:
A. May lift/carry up to 20 lbs. frequently
B. Stands/walks 50-100% of the time
C. Sits 50-100% of the time
D. Travels minimum of 50% of the time, t*ravel includes driving, flying, overnight stays.*
