What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Athletic Trainer position at Diamond Football Academy?
As the Head Athletic Trainer at Diamond Football Academy in Levelland , TX. You will have the opportunity to develop the program from the ground up. Providing medical care to 40-50 athlete team at practice and games, as well as performing rehab to injured athletes. As well as other duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
Requirements:
· TX - Athletic Trainer License
· CPR- American Heart Association
· ATC / LAT Preferred at hire
· MS in a health related field preferred
· 1-2 years of experience in High School / College athletic training setting preferred
· Basic use of computer based injury tracking programs, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
· Excellent understanding of advanced athletic training. General knowledge of rehabilitation protocol.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate athletes' physical conditions and injuries to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide preventative care and rehabilitation services to high school athletes.
- Educate athletes on nutrition, body mechanics, and exercise techniques to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with coaches and medical professionals to ensure athletes' health and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of athletes' progress and treatment plans using Microsoft Office applications.
- Stay updated on sports medicine practices and relevant medical terminology.
