Position Summary
The Business Intelligence ("BI") Analyst will be responsible for researching, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on various financial and operational KPIs. The BI Analyst will regularly provide a variety of metrics to department heads so that they will be positioned to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding sales, product management, marketing, field service, and business development strategies. Responsibilities will focus primarily on the Sales and Marketing departments, but will also cross over into the Technology, Finance, and Operations departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and report certain operational performance metrics (such as mechanical errors, unit placements, tickets dispensed, operational days / hours, etc.) to key management individuals.
- Prepare and optimize Diamond Game's existing reporting templates and procedures for weekly reports that track Diamond Game's performance in a variety of Lottery and alternative gaming markets.
- Organize and maintain a conveniently accessible database or process whereby key management individuals can passively access BI metrics.
- Collect, clean, and analyze competitive information and relevant industry data.
- Recommend and / or substantiate strategies for game mix optimizations, product enhancements, or floor movements.
- Review and recommend placement strategies to the Market Management team for new product installations.
- Compile, analyze, and report Diamond Game's financial performance to key management individuals.
- Proactively identify performance and service problems through monitoring financial and operational data.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and Regional General Manager for ad hoc research projects.
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
- Perform other tasks and duties as needed and / or requested by management.
