Job Summary : The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up the production line, collaborating with the production line team, reading and understanding job tickets, and ensuring all jobs are processed properly. First and Second shift positions are available. First Shift works Monday-Friday; 6 : 00am-2 : 00pm. Second Shift works Monday-Thursday; 1 : 45pm-11 : 45pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Reads, understands, and accurately follows Job Ticket Instructions, completes job ticket paperwork and obtains proper approvals.
Sets up and adjust layouts to match data proofs, diagnose and troubleshoot errors and start up and shut down the production line; if changes are made ensure proper approvals are performed.
Check machine for proper working order and make adjustments if machine is not functioning correctly; call Maintenance if needed
Verify job duties with production assistants; provide verbal instructions to tasks that needs to be done differently, ensure understanding of expectations
Ensure the product meets customer specifications and perform quality checks as needed
Communicate efficiently and effectively with teams and completes end of shift production reports.

Requirements :
High school Diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Sufficient computer skills to adjust machine according to product
Ability to follow and communicate written and verbal instructions
Understands job database software
Ability to navigate through PC screens and menus
Understanding of the delivery system equipment including : belts, timing, sensors, vacuums, and shingling
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout shift
Inserter Operator or a Folder Gluer experience is a plus
Ability to remain in a stationary position and move about on a concrete floor for 100% of shift
Ability to push, lift and pull up to 30 lbs. repetitively during shift
Ability to move and position self to operate on, under and around machines
