Host/Food Runner/Busser

Diamond Hawk Golf Course & Pub, a leading Western New York Golf Course, Music Venue and Restaurant is looking to hire a Host / Food Runner / Busser (Combined Role)

Summary:

This combined role encompasses the essential functions of a Host, Food Runner, and Busser, ensuring a smooth and positive dining experience for our guests. You will be the first and last point of contact, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, efficiently delivering food, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong work ethic.

Job Description:

Hosting:

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables, providing menus and introducing the server.
• Manage the waitlist (if applicable), accurately estimating wait times and communicating with guests.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations, managing the reservation system effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Food Running:

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation.
• Verify that each dish matches the order ticket before serving.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers regarding order status and special requests.
• Handle food and beverages with care, following proper sanitation procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients to answer guest questions.

Bussing:

• Clear tables efficiently and thoroughly after guests have finished their meals.
• Reset tables according to restaurant standards, ensuring they are clean and properly set for the next guests.
• Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing area.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, including floors, tables, and chairs.
• Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed, such as wiping down menus, refilling condiment stations, and emptying trash receptacles.

Experience:

- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality preferred
