**Job Summary**:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Healthcare Billing Manager to oversee all billing functions in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This in-person position will be based in our office in Fairfax, VA.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and manage the agency’s billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

- Research and resolve client billing inquiries and discrepancies promptly.

- Process and follow up on payer denials, ensuring timely resolution.

- Initiate and manage private pay collections following insurance cancellations or denials.

- Prepare and submit reimbursement requests to Medicare and Medicaid accurately and in a timely manner.

- Ensure all required documentation is submitted according to Medicare and Better Home Care standards.

- Maintain accurate records of payments and billing issues, documenting them as they occur.

- Post payments promptly and accurately, ensuring proper record-keeping and quick payment response.

- Process insurance claims for private pay and employer insurance reimbursements.

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional phone demeanor when interacting with clients and payers.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous billing experience in a home health environment is required.

- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance billing practices.

- Ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

- High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home care medical billing is mandatory.

- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills.

- Strong customer service skills and a professional phone manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
