Diamond Home Improvement is seeking a highly motivated, success-driven individual to assist in managing the daily merchandising operations of its retail home center/hardware store in Klamath Falls, OR. The successful candidate will inspire and encourage employees to ensure a high level of morale, improve customer experience, manage sales and inventory, and merchandise product. This individual will be actively involved with building the sales team and providing them with guidance and training necessary to provide exceptional customer service. Must be able to create a positive work environment and support the community we serve. Prior home center/hardware experience is preferred. Job Description:
Diamond’s Managers are responsible for driving sales by leading all aspects of store operations for their teams.
Position responsibilities include:
- Train, coach and motivate teams to drive sales through effective selling/customer service
- Establish and execute plans with department Supervisors and Team Members to meet and exceed sales goals
- Manage the efficient use of labor resources to achieve desired outcomes within the assigned budget
- Collaborate with Management and Corporate Merchandising staff to identify opportunities for sales growth and develop plans for improvement
- Ensure adequate customer service levels throughout the store
Qualifications needed to apply:
- 3 years Retail Management experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
- Passion to coach and develop a successful sales team in a retail environment
- Strong appreciation for customer service and home improvement
- Ability to independently analyze business results and formulate plans for improvement that are consistent with company objectives
- Strong analytical, communication and time management skills
- Enthusiasm, high energy and ability to motivate a team
- Fully flexible to work typical retail schedule (50 hours/week)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Big box, home center management experience preferred
