Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Arrive at Diamond K by approximately 6:30 AM
• Supervise ALL employees in ALL warehouses
• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our expectations
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
• Monitor, and share a trusting relationship with workgroup, recruit, manage and develop plant, yard and mechanic.
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste and present report and plan to upper management
• Commit to plant safety procedures and become a member of Company safety committee
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Address employees’ issues or grievances as needed.
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
• Manage garage to ensure all maintenance and repairs are occurring timely and within budget
• Manage the scheduled repairs and maintenance of fleet as necessary with outside vendors
• Execute corrective action plans and develop SOP’s in accordance with our operational needs and safety guidelines.
• Always maintain ALL fire and burglar alarms (Unless you are scheduled off)
• Maintain inventory in all warehouse and report to management daily
• Schedule Maintenance on ALL warehouse equipment
• Order ALL parts for warehouse equipment
• Assure that ALL warehouses are operating, safely, smoothly and efficiently always
• Maintain ALL scales in ALL warehouses and schedule repairs when necessary
• Assist with Snow and Ice issues with Justin/Patrick and to coordinate safe removal in ALL lots
• Coordinate inventory in ALL warehouses at the end of each month
• Load and Unload trailers when necessary
• Operate skidsteer when necessary
• Evaluate and properly grade ALL material delivered to Diamond K
• Maintain relationships with current customers and suppliers
• Fill in any position when shorthanded
• Participate in recruiting, hiring and terminating of all warehouse employees
• Drive safety of ALL employees under your leadership
• Participate in Annual Reviews of ALL warehouse employees

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: Commensurate with experience
• Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield after 90 Days of Employment (Currently $80.00/pay every two weeks contribution for Employee only coverage)
• $10,000.00 Life Insurance Policy - After 90 Days of Employment (Premium to be paid by the company)
• 32 Hours of Personal Time - After 90 Days of Employment
• 40 Hours of Vacation Time - After 6 Months of Employment
• 6 Paid Holidays - New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th Of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
