Board-Certified Attending Physician for Nursing Home in Barre, VT - Join a Leading Nationwide Healthcare Company!
A reputable nationwide company providing healthcare services to nursing homes is seeking to immediately hire a Board-certified Doctor to serve as an attending physician at a nursing home in Barre, VT. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in primary and long-term care (LTC) and a valid state license. Compensation is very rewarding, plus a generous benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), taking responsibility for their medical management
- Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
- Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Work closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care
Requirements:
- A board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care
- Ability to work full-time and travel.
- The doctor is expected to focus solely on the responsibilities within this role and may not work for another nursing home or private practice. However, an affiliation with a hospital is highly encouraged and welcomed
Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000
