A chain of nursing homes is looking to immediately hire several Doctors of Optometry (OD) for a per-diem/part-time position in Little Rock, and other locations, in Arkansas.
The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to diagnosing, treating, and managing eye diseases and disorders. Other job descriptions include:
1. Performing comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and identify eye diseases or disorders.
2. Prescribing corrective lenses, including glasses or contact lenses, to enhance vision.
3. Diagnosing and treating eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
4. Providing pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
5. Prescribing medications for the treatment of eye infections or inflammation.
6. Educating patients about proper eye care practices to preserve good vision health.
7. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
8. Managing patient records and ensuring accurate documentation of treatments provided.
