What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Psychiatric Technician position at Diamond Peak Health Care?
Overview:
Bella-Nacole Mental Health Services and Diamond Peak Health Care are seeking a Certified Psychiatric Technician to immediately start making a difference in the lives of our members. This position is held at a residential assisted living facility that takes care of some of the most chronically mentally ill residents in the State of Idaho.
The schedule for this position is every Saturday & Sunday 2:00pm-10:00pm.
This position works closely with the *HART team, including a Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker’s, Bachelor level Social Worker’s, CBRS/Case Manager’s, Peer Support Specialist’s, and access 24/7 to one of our clinical team members if they are having a behavioral health crisis or if our staff need guidance to help the member in need.
Although we are a residential assisted living facility transitioning into a HART home, it is the job of each team member to encourage members to live as independently as they can and provide as much of their own cares to the extent of their own individual abilities.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Encouraging self-care and independence to members
· When needed prompting/assisting members in self-care needs such as showering/bathing, grooming, etc.
· Prompting/assisting members to keep their rooms clean and organized
· Monitor residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to medical staff and the treatment team
· Engage in activities with the members on a daily basis
· Assisting with medications to ensure they are receiving what their providers are prescribing them
· General Housekeeping
· Completing necessary resident charting and documentation within each shift
· Meal prep/cooking with prompting of the members (who are able) to serve themselves according to the dieticians recommended serving, as well as encouraging them to clean up their area and wash their dish after mealtimes

Our HART provides a safe and therapeutic home that includes meals, living space, personal care services, supervision, and an individualized suite of outpatient clinical services that include medication management by a PMH-NP, primary care provider services by a FNP, individual therapy and group therapy provided by LCSW’s, CBRS, STADs, and Case Management that is provided by a Behavior Health Specialist (with at least a bachelor’s degree) and Peer Support specialist.
