Commercial Project Manager

Position Overview:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple commercial and industrial construction projects. This role requires a motivated individual who can manage timelines, budgets, and client relationships while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll work alongside internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the execution of commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate all phases of construction, including design, permitting, procurement, construction, and close-out.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with project teams, including project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors, to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential issues and risks, and developing solutions to keep the project on track.
• Review and approve project plans, change orders, submittals, and other documentation, ensuring they meet all contract and regulatory requirements.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including client meetings, progress updates, and coordination meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
• Promote a strong culture of safety on job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to assess project scope, budget, and potential risks.
• Assist in the mentoring and development of junior team members, offering guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in construction management, with a strong background in managing commercial and industrial projects.
• Knowledge of construction processes, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic financial acumen and the ability to track project budgets and expenses.
• LEED or PMP certification is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
