Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and manage ground-up commercial projects in the Portland area. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership. This role will oversee all aspects of project execution, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and contract documents.
- Lead and collaborate with project teams, including superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and architects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financials, and forecasts.
- Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in ground-up commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contracts.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience working on projects in the Portland market is a plus.
