Position Overview:

The Interior Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site management and oversight of all interior construction activities for commercial projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in interior build-outs, tenant improvements, and commercial construction, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all interior construction activities on-site, ensuring that the project is progressing according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage subcontractors, labor crews, and vendors involved in interior construction work, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of the work being performed to ensure that it meets the project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Address any quality concerns promptly.
  • Scheduling: Create, update, and maintain construction schedules for all interior work. Ensure timely delivery of materials and coordination of subcontractor work to avoid delays.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and job site inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for the project team, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues or delays that may arise during the interior construction process. Collaborate with the project manager and team to develop solutions.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction, with a focus on interior build-outs, tenant improvements, and renovation projects.
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction processes, including finishes, drywall, painting, flooring, ceilings, and specialty interior systems.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.).
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification required. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Delray Beach, FL, and able to travel to job sites within the region.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and walk around construction sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and at heights (as necessary).

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
