Mechanical Engineer - Commercial Construction

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate will either hold a PE license or be actively pursuing licensure. This role will involve designing and managing mechanical systems for a variety of commercial projects, working collaboratively with clients, architects, and construction teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for commercial construction projects.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and oversee project progress.
• Perform energy analysis and recommend sustainable design solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, submittals, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Support the project team in troubleshooting and resolving design or construction issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• PE license or actively pursuing licensure (EIT candidates encouraged to apply).
• 4 years of experience in mechanical design within the commercial construction industry.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC load calculation tools).
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and energy compliance regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
