Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and distribution center. The Yard Supervisor will be responsible for managing logistics, inventory control, and team management to ensure efficient and safe operations. Duties: - Coordinate and oversee the movement of goods within the yard, including loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers - Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies - Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and generate reports - Conduct regular inspections of equipment, such as forklifts, to ensure proper functioning and maintenance - Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issues or delays - Train and supervise yard personnel, providing guidance and support as needed - Implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency - Monitor and enforce company policies and procedures related to yard operations Experience: - Proven experience in logistics, preferably in a 3PL environment - Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices - Proficiency in operating forklifts and other yard equipment - Ability to perform heavy lifting as required - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team - Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and experience in warehouse operations, we encourage you to apply for the position of Yard Supervisor.
